Stuck at "Firmware update successful"
If your dashcam installed DashKeep and is now stuck on the “Firmware update successful” screen, the fault is in the patcher itself. It’s not with anything you did. The camera’s own updater did its job. The patched image just fails on the next boot. This is rare.
To recover the camera:
- Restore the factory firmware. Get the current stock software for your model from the maker’s website. Install it with the maker’s update guide. This removes DashKeep. The camera goes back to its factory state. It’s always safe to do. The maker’s software overwrites everything DashKeep changed.
- Contact the team through the support chat or by email. Include your camera’s make and model. The patcher build for that model needs a fix, and the team would rather know today than let you wait.
Your footage is safe. The camera records as a normal dashcam again. Everything you uploaded stays in your account. Most installs work fine.
