Viewing your footage
A Community Edition device has the same trips page as a cloud device. You browse by day, you play clips, and you get the speed and map overlays. One part is new: your browser reads everything straight from your bucket, and the storage password comes first.
Unlock your storage
Section titled “Unlock your storage”Your browser needs the bucket’s keys to show your footage, and your storage password seals them. Enter the password on the Unlock your storage card. A wrong password fails with a clear message.
The password never left your browser, so there’s no recovery for it. If you lose it, see Changing or resetting your storage.
If you ticked Remember the password on this browser, that browser unlocks on its own. To undo that, select Forget the saved password on the device’s settings page.
The folders in your bucket
Section titled “The folders in your bucket”Your footage reaches the bucket through the camera’s uploads. Each camera has its own folders:
- the events folder, with the small trip files the player reads for speed and position,
- the footage folder, with the clips themselves,
- the locked folder, with the clips the camera protected. These include incidents and parking bumps.
Everything remains there until you delete it from the bucket.
What you can’t do from the website
Section titled “What you can’t do from the website”For a Community Edition device, the trips page never offers to delete a trip, delete a clip, or unlock a clip. Your bucket is the record. To remove or recover footage, use your provider’s own tools on the bucket files.
The storage card on the device’s settings page shows the endpoint and the bucket name at any time. The keys never appear there again after setup.
