1. Introduction
DashKeep is a service operated by DashKeep Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16793545). DashKeep Limited is the data controller for your personal data and is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (registration number ZC069468). This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our services.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Waitlist registration
When you join the DashKeep waitlist, we collect your email address and country of residence, provided directly by you at the point of registration.
2.2 Account information
If you create an account, your authentication and account data is managed through Clerk.com. See section 6.2.
2.3 Payment and fraud prevention
To process payments and prevent fraud, we collect your full name, billing address, IP address, and the last four digits of your payment card. Full card details are processed directly by Stripe and are never stored on our servers. See section 6.1.
2.4 Technical data
We collect limited technical data including your IP address and browser type for security and analytics purposes.
3. Legal basis for processing
3.1 Contract: We process your email address, full name, billing address, and payment details to fulfil our contract with you.
3.2 Legitimate interest: We process technical data such as IP addresses and browser information for website security, fraud prevention, and service improvement.
3.3 Consent: Where you have opted in to marketing communications, we process your data on the basis of your explicit consent.
4. How we use your information
We use your email address to send order confirmations, waitlist invitations, and essential updates about your waitlist status or service changes. Your name and billing address are used solely to process your payment and comply with financial record-keeping obligations. We will not use any of your information for marketing or promotional purposes without your explicit prior consent.
5. Data retention
5.1 Waitlist data (email address and country of residence) is kept for as long as necessary to fill the waitlist, up to a maximum of 24 months from the date of registration.
5.2 Payment records, including your name, billing address, and the last four digits of your card, may be retained for up to seven years to meet legal and financial obligations.
5.3 After the applicable retention period, your data is permanently deleted unless you have accepted an invitation to use DashKeep, in which case it is retained under our product Privacy Policy.
5.4 If you request deletion before the relevant period ends, we will comply within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations.
6. Data processors and third parties
6.1 Stripe
We use Stripe to process payments. Stripe receives your name, billing address, email address, and country as part of this process. Their privacy policy is at https://stripe.com/privacy.
6.2 Clerk.com
We use Clerk.com for account creation and authentication. Clerk.com processes personal data you provide when creating an account. Their privacy policy is at https://clerk.com/legal/privacy.
6.3 Proton AG
We use Proton AG to handle email sent to [email protected]. Proton AG may process personal data included in any correspondence sent to that address. Their privacy policy is at https://proton.me/legal/privacy.
6.4 Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity for website analytics. Clarity collects behavioural and usage data to help us understand how the website performs. Their privacy policy is at https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/privacystatement.
6.5 Other third parties
Your data may be processed by other third parties for legitimate business purposes where we have a legitimate interest in doing so. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in each case.
6.6 Legal requirements
We may disclose your data if required to do so by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
7. International data transfers
Your data is processed and stored within the United Kingdom. Where we transfer data outside the UK, we do so only where there is an adequacy decision from the ICO or appropriate safeguards are in place under UK GDPR.
8. Your rights under UK GDPR
8.1 Right of access
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. Send requests to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
8.2 Right to rectification
You can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
8.3 Right to erasure
You can request deletion of your personal data, subject to certain exceptions such as legal obligations. Requesting erasure during the waitlist period will result in removal from the waitlist.
8.4 Right to restrict processing
You can ask us to restrict processing of your data while we consider a separate request, such as a rectification request.
8.5 Right to data portability
You can request your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format for transfer to another controller.
8.6 Right to object
You can object to processing where we rely on legitimate interest as the legal basis.
8.7 Automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that has legal effects on you. All decisions about waitlist invitations are made manually.
9. Exercising your rights
To exercise any of the rights above, send a written request to [email protected] with enough detail to identify you and confirm which right you are exercising. We will respond within 30 days. For complex requests, we may extend this by two months and will notify you if so.
10. Complaints to the ICO
You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you believe we have not handled your personal data correctly.

11. Children's privacy
Our services are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided personal data, we will delete it promptly.
